Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking for a deeply rewarding role? Mears Group PLC is seeking Live-in Carers to provide essential support and companionship to our clients in Cheltenham and the surrounding Gloucestershire area. As a Live-in Carer, you will reside with a client in their home, offering personalised care that supports their independence and well-being. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life, providing continuity of care and building meaningful relationships. Full comprehensive training will be provided, so previous formal care experience is not essential – we value empathy, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration, as per care plan.
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Undertake light household duties such as laundry, tidying, and food shopping.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities and conversations.
- Support clients with mobility, using aids as required.
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with family and healthcare professionals.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings.
- Ensure the client's home environment is safe and comfortable.
