Job Description
Join the DHL Supply Chain team in Southampton as a Loading Dock Assistant, working early morning shifts that allow you to finish your day by noon! This is an excellent opportunity for reliable individuals looking for consistent work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles quickly and safely.
- Sorting and organizing freight on the loading dock according to established procedures.
- Operating pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment (training provided).
- Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against manifest documents.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth dock operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (training provided).
- Certification in operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack), though not essential as training will be given.
