Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Logistics Coordinator Intern to join our dynamic Fleet Management team in Kalgoorlie. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about logistics and transportation to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial environment. As an intern, you will support the day-to-day operations of our fleet, learning vital skills in vehicle tracking, scheduling, maintenance coordination, and administrative processes. This is an entry-level position, and full training will be provided to help you succeed and develop your career in logistics. This position is 100% on-site at our Kalgoorlie facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the tracking and monitoring of fleet vehicles and equipment using various systems.
- Support the scheduling and coordination of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records related to fleet operations, fuel consumption, and compliance.
- Help generate reports on fleet performance, utilization, and costs.
- Provide administrative support to the Fleet Management team, including filing, document preparation, and communication.
- Learn and adhere to company safety protocols and procedures related to fleet operations.
- Collaborate with drivers and other departments to ensure efficient vehicle movement and resource allocation.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in logistics, transportation, or fleet management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of vehicle operations or fleet systems is a plus, but not required.
- Previous exposure to an office or industrial environment.
