Job Description
Join the Australia Post team as a Part-time Morning Sorter in our Perth parcel facility. This role is perfect for individuals looking for consistent part-time work, offering an early start to get your day moving. You will be responsible for the efficient sorting of mail and parcels, ensuring they reach their correct destinations on time. This is an on-site position requiring reliability and a good work ethic in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort incoming and outgoing mail and parcels according to designated routes and categories.
- Operate sorting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Lift and move mail bags, containers, and parcels weighing up to 16kg (and occasionally up to 25kg with assistance).
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet daily sorting targets.
- Perform other general duties as required by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, lift, and move repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or sorting environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with manual handling techniques.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transport.
