Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Artist Liaison to join our vibrant team in Cairns. This crucial role involves being the primary point of contact for artists and their management, ensuring all logistical and hospitality needs are met during our festivals and events. You will be instrumental in facilitating smooth artist experiences, from pre-arrival planning through to their departure, contributing directly to the success and reputation of our productions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate artist travel, accommodation, and ground transport arrangements.
- Manage and fulfill artist technical and hospitality riders, working closely with catering and production teams.
- Act as the central point of contact for artists and their touring personnel on-site, addressing all queries and needs.
- Liaise effectively with internal departments, venue staff, and external suppliers to ensure seamless event operations.
- Proactively resolve any artist-related issues or emergencies with professionalism and discretion.
- Maintain accurate records of artist information, itineraries, and financial settlements.
- Assist with scheduling and managing stage timings in collaboration with stage management.
- Ensure all contractual obligations pertaining to artists are met.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 24 months experience in event coordination, artist relations, or a related field within the live entertainment industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse personalities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules.
- A valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel for events.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Events Management, Music Business, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience specifically as an Artist Liaison for large-scale festivals or touring events.
- Familiarity with venues, suppliers, and logistical networks within Queensland.
- Ability to speak a second language.
