Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Operations Data Coordinator to join our team in Katherine, NT. This role is crucial for supporting our civil and mining projects by ensuring the accurate collection, processing, and reporting of operational data. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, providing insights, and improving operational efficiency across various project sites. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, compile, and verify operational data from various project sources (e.g., site reports, equipment logs, production metrics).
- Enter and maintain data accurately within relevant databases and systems, ensuring consistency and completeness.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support project management, operational decision-making, and performance analysis.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, performing data audits to ensure data quality and integrity at all times.
- Liaise effectively with site managers, engineers, and other project personnel to gather necessary information and clarify data points.
- Assist in the development and implementation of robust data collection procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Support data analysis initiatives to identify trends, efficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for continuous operational improvement.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all data-related tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal, with various stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to resolving data issues.
- Demonstrated experience with data entry and fundamental database management principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a data coordination, administrative, or similar role within the civil construction, mining, or heavy industry sectors.
- Familiarity with project management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems commonly used in industry.
- A basic understanding of operational metrics and processes in civil engineering or mining projects.
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Certificate IV) in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
