Job Description
Are you passionate about sustainable living, fresh produce, and getting your hands dirty? Goulburn Valley Organics is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as an Organic Farm Assistant. This is an entry-level position perfect for those with little to no prior farm experience, but a strong desire to learn and contribute to eco-friendly agriculture. We will provide comprehensive training in all aspects of organic farming, from soil health to harvesting, ensuring you gain valuable skills and grow with us. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the health and productivity of our organic crops, contributing directly to our mission of sustainable food production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with planting, cultivating, and harvesting various organic crops.
- Performing general farm maintenance tasks, including weeding, mulching, and irrigation.
- Monitoring crop health and identifying potential pest or disease issues under supervision.
- Operating and maintaining farm equipment safely after training.
- Preparing produce for market, including washing, sorting, and packaging.
- Contributing to compost management and soil enrichment activities.
- Adhering to strict organic certification standards and safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm location.

Preferred Qualifications
