Job Description
Are you ready to jumpstart your career in a dynamic and growing environment? Harris Teeter is looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Personal Shoppers / Order Pickers. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success! In this fast-paced role, you’ll be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing online grocery orders, ensuring our customers receive the freshest and highest quality products every time. If you enjoy being active, have a keen eye for detail, and are committed to delivering excellent service, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately select and scan grocery items from shelves based on customer online orders.
- Ensure product freshness, quality, and proper temperature controls are maintained.
- Carefully pack orders into designated bags or containers, ensuring items are organized and protected.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding product availability and order status.
- Operate handheld scanning devices to manage order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with other store duties as needed to support operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer or smartphone literacy for operating scanning devices.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service aptitude.
- Familiarity with grocery store layouts is a plus (but not required).
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
