Job Description

Join Rentokil Initial as a Trainee Pest Control Technician and embark on a rewarding career with a global leader. No prior experience in pest control is required – we provide comprehensive, fully paid training to equip you with all the skills and certifications needed to become a professional, licensed technician. You will learn to identify, prevent, and treat pest infestations using cutting-edge techniques and equipment, all while delivering exceptional service to our valued customers across Warrington and the surrounding Cheshire area. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete a structured, fully paid training program to achieve industry-recognized qualifications in pest management.
  • Learn to identify various pests, understand their biology, and implement effective control strategies.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of customer properties (residential and commercial) to assess pest activity and potential entry points.
  • Apply a range of pest control treatments and solutions safely and effectively, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers on pest prevention and proofing measures.
  • Maintain accurate service records, complete necessary documentation, and manage your daily route efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicle and equipment according to company standards.

Required Skills

  • Full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A keen interest in learning and developing new technical skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for record keeping.
  • Commitment to health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various environments (e.g., attics, crawl spaces).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a field-based role or customer service position.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude.
