Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Pilates Teacher to join our vibrant team in Sunderland. The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about the Pilates method, possess excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to providing exceptional instruction to clients of all levels. You will be responsible for leading engaging group classes and personalized one-on-one sessions, helping clients improve their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead dynamic and engaging Pilates mat and reformer classes for various skill levels.
  • Conduct personalized one-on-one Pilates sessions tailored to individual client needs and goals.
  • Provide clear, concise, and motivating instructions, ensuring proper form and technique.
  • Modify exercises for clients with injuries, limitations, or specific conditions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming studio environment.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of Pilates and promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Assist with client registration, scheduling, and general studio inquiries.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development activities.

Required Skills

  • Comprehensive Pilates certification (e.g., STOTT, Polestar, BASI, Body Control Pilates).
  • Minimum of 2 years (24 months) experience teaching Pilates classes and private sessions.
  • Proficiency in both mat and reformer Pilates instruction.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to diverse client needs.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialized certifications (e.g., Pre/Postnatal Pilates, Pilates for specific conditions).
  • Experience with other fitness modalities (e.g., Yoga, Barre).
  • A proven track record of client retention and growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Kinesiology, Exercise Science).
