Job Description

Join our dynamic civil construction team as an Entry Level Pipe Layer Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in civil construction, specifically in pipe laying. No prior experience is required as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided by our experienced team. You will support our skilled pipe layers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various piping systems for essential infrastructure projects. This role offers a chance to learn fundamental civil construction techniques, contribute to critical projects, and develop valuable trade skills in a safe and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pipe layers with the installation of PVC, concrete, and other pipe materials.
  • Help in preparing trenches, including excavation, shoring, and backfilling under supervision.
  • Carry and move materials, tools, and equipment safely around the worksite.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Learn to interpret basic blueprints and specifications related to pipe laying.
  • Operate hand and power tools as directed and trained.
  • Adhere to all site safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
