Job Description

As an Operations Strategy Lead – Global Business at KPMG, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing operational frameworks for our diverse global clientele. This senior position requires a blend of strategic foresight, analytical acumen, and exceptional leadership to drive impactful operational improvements across various industries and geographies. You will lead complex engagements, develop innovative solutions, and guide clients through significant operational transformations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance. Your work will directly contribute to our clients’ success and KPMG’s reputation as a leader in strategic advisory services. This on-site role is based in our vibrant Denver office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive operational strategies for global clients.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing operational processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Design and recommend innovative solutions to optimize supply chain, production, service delivery, and other critical business operations.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful project execution.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders, facilitating decision-making.
  • Develop robust business cases and financial models to support proposed operational initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and global market trends in operations and strategy.
  • Foster strong client relationships and identify opportunities for expanded advisory services.
  • Contribute to KPMG's thought leadership and practice development in operations strategy.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations consulting, strategy consulting, or a senior operations leadership role within a global organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proven track record of leading and successfully delivering large-scale operational transformation projects.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients across various cultures and time zones.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and change management principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) from a top-tier business school.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt, or other relevant operational methodologies.
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools, process automation (RPA), or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Prior experience working in a global professional services firm.
