Job Description
Are you eager to kickstart your career in civil construction? Daracon Group is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Pipe Layer Assistant in Port Macquarie. This is an entry-level position perfect for those with no prior experience in civil work. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, teaching you the fundamental skills required to assist our experienced pipe layers in installing and maintaining vital underground infrastructure. If you’re physically fit, a keen learner, and ready for a challenging yet rewarding career, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced pipe layers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various pipe systems (water, sewer, stormwater).
- Perform manual labour tasks including digging, trenching, backfilling, and moving materials (pipes, gravel, soil).
- Help with the safe handling and positioning of pipes and fittings.
- Maintain a clean and organised work site.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Support the team in setting up and packing down equipment.
