Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated Pipe Layer Labourers to join our civil infrastructure team in Taunton. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for high pay and a rewarding career in the construction sector, working on essential infrastructure projects across the region. You will be an integral part of a skilled team, primarily assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various piping systems for water, drainage, and other utilities. Full training will be provided to ensure you gain the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role. Safety is paramount on all our sites, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations while contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced pipe layers in the preparation, laying, and jointing of pipes for various civil infrastructure projects.
- Perform manual digging, trenching, and backfilling operations.
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools relevant to pipe laying.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring correct handling and storage on site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and other contractors.
- Assist with traffic management setups and maintaining site security as required.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and site safety briefings.

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Current CSCS card.
- Previous experience working on a construction site or in a manual labour role.
- Awareness of utility services and groundworks practices.
