Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated Pipe Layer Labourers to join our civil infrastructure team in Taunton. You will be an integral part of a skilled team, primarily assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various piping systems for water, drainage, and other utilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced pipe layers in the preparation, laying, and jointing of pipes for various civil infrastructure projects.
  • Perform manual digging, trenching, and backfilling operations.
  • Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools relevant to pipe laying.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring correct handling and storage on site.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and other contractors.
  • Assist with traffic management setups and maintaining site security as required.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and site safety briefings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Current CSCS card.
  • Previous experience working on a construction site or in a manual labour role.
  • Awareness of utility services and groundworks practices.
