Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your community? The Metropolitan Police Service is seeking dedicated individuals to join us as Police Community Support Trainees. This entry-level role offers comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to become a vital link between the police and the local community. You will serve the residents of Fulham, building trust, providing reassurance, and tackling local priorities. No prior experience in policing is required, just a commitment to public service and a desire to learn and grow within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol designated areas within Fulham to provide a visible and reassuring police presence.
  • Engage with members of the public, listening to concerns and offering advice and support.
  • Gather information and intelligence to help prevent and detect crime.
  • Support police officers in their duties, including maintaining cordons and assisting at incidents.
  • Respond to calls for service, resolving minor incidents and escalating more serious issues.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and community groups to address neighbourhood problems.
  • Issue fixed penalty notices for minor offences.
  • Attend community meetings and events to represent the Metropolitan Police Service.
  • Complete all required training modules and demonstrate continuous professional development.
