Job Description
Are you looking for a fulfilling entry-level role in a vital agricultural industry? Inghams Group is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Poultry Hatcher Assistant. This is a unique opportunity for those who are passionate about rural work and comfortable in a farm environment, even without prior experience. We provide comprehensive, full training from day one to ensure you gain all the necessary skills to succeed in this essential role. You will be an integral part of our hatching operations, contributing directly to the initial stages of poultry production in a supportive and structured setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the careful transfer of eggs into incubators and hatchers.
- Monitoring incubator conditions, including temperature and humidity.
- Performing routine checks and maintenance on hatching equipment.
- Assisting with the collection, sorting, and grading of newly hatched chicks.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment in accordance with biosecurity protocols.
- Following all animal welfare guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Recording data accurately and reporting any anomalies to supervisors.
