Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Print Finisher to join our internal print services team at our Canary Wharf headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for the final stages of print production, ensuring all materials meet our high standards of quality and are prepared efficiently for distribution or display. This is a vital role in supporting our internal communications, marketing, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a variety of print finishing equipment, including guillotines, creasers, folders, laminators, and binders.
- Perform quality checks on all printed materials to ensure accuracy, color consistency, and proper finishing.
- Trim, cut, fold, collate, staple, and bind documents according to job specifications.
- Package finished products securely for internal delivery or external dispatch.
- Monitor stock levels of finishing supplies and report needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with general print room duties as required, including loading paper and basic machine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems to technical support.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a print finishing role or similar production environment.
- Proficiency in operating various print finishing machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of print processes and quality control procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical dexterity and ability to lift and move print materials as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Print Production or a related field.
- Experience with digital printing equipment and workflows.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for basic file checks.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.
