Job Description

Gippsland Print Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as an Entry Level Printing Finish Hand in our Bindery Department. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn the intricate processes of print finishing and bindery work, contributing to the final quality of our diverse range of printed products. You will be an integral part of ensuring that our customers receive perfectly finished materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor bindery equipment under supervision (e.g., cutters, folders, stitchers)
- Perform manual finishing tasks such as collating, stacking, padding, and packing
- Inspect printed materials for quality and accuracy, identifying and reporting any defects
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from machines
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols
- Learn and apply new techniques and processes as directed by senior staff
- Support other production tasks as needed to meet deadlines
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles
