Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Service Expert to join our team in Kalgoorlie. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery and management of our essential services contracts within the public sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining high operational standards, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our projects in the region. You will apply your expertise to coordinate skilled teams, manage resources, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and client expectations, playing a vital role in our commitment to local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations and service delivery for assigned public sector contracts.
• Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with contract specifications, performance targets, and safety standards.
• Coordinate and supervise skilled teams, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Act as a primary point of contact for public sector clients, building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.
• Monitor project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on service performance, compliance, and operational metrics.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant OHS, environmental, and quality management systems and regulations.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operational or service delivery management role, preferably within the public services or infrastructure sector.
• Proven ability to manage and lead skilled teams in a dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of contract management and service level agreements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with operational management software.
• Valid Australian Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with local government or state government clients.
• Knowledge of regional operational challenges and community engagement strategies.
• Certifications in project management (e.g., Prince2, PMP) or facility management.
