Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA/QC) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ontario, California. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of our products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with development teams to ensure software quality throughout the entire lifecycle. This position offers sponsorship support for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications and systems.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Document and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to understand project requirements and ensure quality goals are met.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress, defect status, and overall software quality.
  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Conduct performance, security, and integration testing as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
