Job Description

Are you looking for an entry-level opportunity to start a rewarding career in environmental services? Cleanaway in Innisfail is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Recycling Plant Hands. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with all the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. This role is crucial for processing recyclable materials, contributing directly to our mission of sustainability and reducing landfill waste. Key Responsibilities

  • Sorting and segregating various recyclable materials (plastics, paper, glass, metals) on conveyor belts or at designated stations.
  • Operating basic machinery and equipment under supervision after comprehensive training.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area within the recycling plant.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials as required.
  • Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Performing general labouring tasks to support plant operations.
  • Identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
