Job Description
Are you an energetic and reliable individual looking for a vital role in your community? Veolia is seeking dedicated Refuse Loaders / Bin Collectors to join our team in Fulham. This physically demanding but highly rewarding position involves working outdoors as part of a team to ensure the efficient and safe collection of refuse and recycling across the borough. We offer early morning starts, consistent hours, and the convenience of weekly pay. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect household and commercial waste and recycling from designated areas.
- Load refuse and recycling bins onto the collection vehicle, ensuring correct compaction.
- Assist the driver with safe navigation and maneuvering of the vehicle, acting as a banksman when required.
- Follow designated collection routes and schedules efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Report any incidents, damages, or missed collections to the supervisory team.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with the public.
- Ensure all waste is handled responsibly and safely throughout the collection process.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.
