Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Renewable Energy Sales Consultant to join our growing team in Austin. This role offers a competitive base salary along with an uncapped commission structure, providing significant earning potential for top performers. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for educating homeowners on the benefits of solar energy, designing customized solar solutions, and guiding them through the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal. You will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and accelerating the adoption of clean energy in the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including self-sourcing, referrals, and company-provided leads.
- Conduct in-home consultations with potential customers to assess their energy needs and educate them on Sunrun's solar and battery storage solutions.
- Design customized solar energy systems using proprietary software and present compelling proposals.
- Effectively communicate the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy, addressing customer questions and concerns.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire process.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in direct sales, B2C sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and driven to succeed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in renewable energy, home improvement, or a related industry.
- Familiarity with local Austin energy markets and regulations.
- Experience with in-home sales presentations.
