Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Shopping Basket Sanitizer. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for all shopping baskets and carts, contributing directly to the health and safety of our customers and staff. No prior experience is required; comprehensive paid training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all shopping baskets and carts using approved cleaning agents and procedures.
- Regularly inspect baskets and carts for damage and promptly report any issues to store management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sanitation station.
- Assist with general store cleanliness tasks as directed, such as wiping down surfaces or light sweeping.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers when appropriate, directing them to sanitized baskets.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- A positive and customer-focused attitude.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly throughout a shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (even informal or volunteer) is a plus.
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing cleanliness needs.
