Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and physically fit individuals to join our team as Solar Farm Labourers for regional projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to significant renewable energy developments across Australia, starting with a project near Bendigo, Victoria. You will be a crucial part of our construction team, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and general labour tasks required to build large-scale solar farms. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to work in various outdoor conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of solar panels, racking systems, and electrical components.
- Perform general site preparation and clean-up duties, including trenching and moving materials.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Support skilled tradespersons (electricians, civil workers) as required.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in outdoor environments.
- Basic understanding and ability to use common hand tools.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transport and a valid driver's licence (essential for regional travel).
- Willingness to travel and work on regional project sites for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card – mandatory for all construction sites in Australia).
- Previous experience in construction, labouring, or outdoor work.
- First Aid certification.
- Basic knowledge of solar energy systems.
