Job Description

Hilton Altrincham is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our kitchen team as an Entry Level Breakfast Cook. No prior experience is necessary – we believe in nurturing talent and will provide comprehensive training to help you master the art of breakfast preparation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic hotel environment, learn valuable skills, and enjoy your afternoons free! You’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting delicious breakfast items to our guests, ensuring a fantastic start to their day. We’re looking for reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, and other menu offerings, to the highest standards.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, tidy, and organised before, during, and after service.
- Maintain inventory of breakfast ingredients and report any shortages to the Sous Chef.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Uphold the quality and presentation standards of all dishes.
Required Skills
- A strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Reliable and punctual with excellent timekeeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations (will be trained).
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic food hygiene certificate (training can be provided).
- Prior experience in a customer service role.
- Interest in the hospitality industry.
