Job Description

Are you passionate about sound and eager to start a career in live events or studio production? SSE Audio Group is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Sound Engineer (Trainee) in Glasgow. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for those with little to no prior experience, offering comprehensive hands-on training and mentorship from industry experts. You will learn the fundamentals of audio engineering, equipment setup, operation, and maintenance, contributing to the success of various projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior sound engineers with the setup and dismantling of audio equipment for live events and studio sessions.
  • Learn to operate mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, and other audio gear under supervision.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of audio equipment.
  • Cabling and patching audio systems efficiently and safely.
  • Contribute to the loading and unloading of equipment for events.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and seek opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Provide general support to the audio team as required.

  • Full UK driving licence.
