Job Description
Join GHD as a Summer Intern and embark on a rewarding journey within our dynamic environmental science team in Redcliffe. You will support our senior environmental scientists and engineers, contributing to real-world solutions for a sustainable future. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior environmental scientists with data collection and analysis.
- Support fieldwork activities, including site inspections and environmental monitoring.
- Conduct research on environmental regulations, best practices, and innovative technologies.
- Prepare sections of reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to project planning and execution under supervision.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic record and a genuine interest in environmental issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some prior exposure to environmental fieldwork or lab work (e.g., through university projects or volunteer work).
- Familiarity with GIS software or environmental modelling tools.
- Valid driver's license (optional, but beneficial for fieldwork).
