Job Description
Join our dedicated team at the Hoover leisure center as an Early Morning Swimming Pool Vacuum Operator. This crucial part-time role ensures our aquatic facilities are pristine and ready for our members each day. You will be responsible for the routine vacuuming and basic maintenance of our swimming pools during early morning hours, contributing directly to a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for all. This is an excellent opportunity for an early riser who is detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate pool vacuum equipment to thoroughly clean the bottom and sides of swimming pools.
- Skim the surface of the pool to remove debris, leaves, and other foreign objects.
- Monitor pool water levels and report any significant changes or issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with basic pool area tidiness, including organizing pool equipment and cleaning deck areas.
- Inspect pool equipment for proper function and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures for pool maintenance.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete tasks within the designated early morning shift.
- Maintain a detailed log of completed tasks and any observed issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to work reliably and punctually during early morning hours.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to operate pool vacuum equipment and perform light manual tasks.
- Reliable transportation to the leisure center.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing a safe environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a facilities maintenance or cleaning role.
- Basic understanding of swimming pool operations or water safety.
- CPR and First Aid certification (training can be provided).
