Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join our dynamic team across various primary schools within Plymouth. This is an exciting opportunity for newly qualified teachers to embark on their career journey within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, nurturing student development, and contributing to the wider school community. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of all pupils.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student welfare and progress.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extra-curricular activities.
- Uphold the school's values and policies, contributing to the overall ethos of the learning community.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or expected QTS by start date.
- A strong passion for education and commitment to student success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a primary school setting (e.g., teaching placements, voluntary work).
- Knowledge of specific primary curriculum areas beyond general teaching (e.g., phonics programs, computing curriculum).
