Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant team in Reading. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals passionate about supporting student learning and development. You will work closely with classroom teachers to provide vital assistance in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supervise students during break times, lunch, and school trips as required.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies.
  • Undertake administrative duties as directed by the class teacher.

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE, NCFE).
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles in an educational setting.
