Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and talented Software Engineers to join our dynamic teams across various technology groups. As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver innovative features.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the technical vision of our products.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in development and production environments.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, C++, or Go.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, cybersecurity principles, or distributed systems.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
