Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tool Store Assistant to join our team in Port Pirie. This role focuses on maintaining a clean and organised tool section, assisting customers with product inquiries, and ensuring a safe and efficient store environment. You will primarily work day shifts, offering a consistent schedule. If you enjoy a tidy workspace, helping people, and are eager to learn about tools, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in finding and selecting tools, offering product knowledge and advice.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the tool department, including shelving and displays.
- Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly priced and displayed.
- Operate store equipment safely, such as pallet jacks (training provided if needed).
- Process sales transactions accurately at the register.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktake procedures.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both customers and team members.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges in a professional manner.
- Unpack and check deliveries, ensuring all items match invoices.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
