Job Description

This entry-level Trainee Customs Revenue Collector position offers a unique opportunity to begin a career in international trade and customs compliance. Working at one of our bustling port and border locations, you will receive comprehensive training to become proficient in the collection and processing of customs duties, taxes, and fees. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and compliance with all applicable trade regulations, directly contributing to national economic security. No prior experience in customs or revenue collection is required; we provide all necessary training and support for you to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in an intensive training program covering customs regulations, revenue collection procedures, and trade compliance.
  • Assist senior staff in verifying import/export documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Learn to calculate and collect applicable duties, taxes, and fees on imported goods.
  • Support the processing of customs declarations and related paperwork.
  • Monitor and track goods moving through port and border checkpoints.
  • Help identify potential discrepancies or non-compliance issues and report them to senior personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of revenue collection activities.
  • Adhere strictly to all national and international trade laws and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with importers, exporters, and other stakeholders under supervision.
