Job Description
Join Kuehne+Nagel as a Trainee Customs Revenue Collector and embark on a rewarding career in international trade and customs compliance. This is an on-site role, working directly at designated port and border locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Undergo structured training programs to understand customs laws, regulations, tariffs, and valuation methods.
- Assist senior collectors in inspecting goods and documentation to verify compliance with import and export requirements.
- Learn to accurately calculate and collect customs duties, taxes, and other applicable fees.
- Support the processing of customs declarations and related paperwork, ensuring all data is correct and complete.
- Maintain detailed records of transactions and communications in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth customs clearance.
- Develop a strong understanding of trade agreements, prohibited items, and revenue protection strategies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on changes in customs legislation.
