Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Fitter to join our busy centre in Peterborough. As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of tyre services, including fitting, balancing, repair, and rotation, ensuring our customers’ vehicles are safe and compliant. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. Full training on specific Kwik Fit systems and procedures will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and punctures.
- Safely remove and fit new tyres to a variety of vehicles (cars, vans).
- Perform wheel balancing using specialist equipment.
- Carry out tyre repairs in accordance with industry standards.
- Advise customers on tyre condition, wear, and appropriate replacements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in tyre fitting or a related automotive role is desirable.
- A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Physical fitness to lift and manoeuvre heavy tyres.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
- Experience with wheel alignment services.
- Relevant health and safety certifications.
