Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chelsea, London. This role is crucial for the design, analysis, and optimisation of our extensive water and wastewater infrastructure. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of our systems, contributing to critical projects that impact millions of lives daily. This position offers full support for candidates requiring a Skilled Worker Visa to relocate and work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed hydraulic modelling and analysis for water supply and wastewater networks.
- Design and develop engineering solutions for infrastructure upgrades, new installations, and rehabilitation projects.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and drawings in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, environmental specialists, and operational staff.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK water industry regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety guidelines.
- Support the project lifecycle from conception through to commissioning, providing technical expertise and problem-solving.
- Participate in site visits and investigations to gather data and assess existing infrastructure conditions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in water and wastewater engineering.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks ICM, WaterCAD, SewerCAD).
- Strong understanding of UK water and wastewater regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Chartered Engineer status (MICE, MIWEM) or actively working towards it.
- Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software.
- Knowledge of asset management principles in the water industry.
- Project management experience or qualifications.
