Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Virtual Product Photographer to join our creative team on a contract basis. In this unique remote role, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality, visually appealing images of our products (primarily eyewear and related accessories) from the comfort of your home studio. Products will be securely shipped directly to your residence, and you will be tasked with staging, shooting, and editing professional-grade photographs that align with Warby Parker’s brand aesthetic. This is an excellent opportunity for a photographer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for product presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, track, and manage incoming product shipments for photography.
- Set up a dedicated home studio environment to effectively photograph products according to brand guidelines.
- Execute high-quality product photography, focusing on various angles, textures, and features.
- Edit and retouch images using industry-standard software to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain organized digital files and adhere to naming conventions.
- Meet agreed-upon deadlines for image delivery.
- Communicate effectively with the creative team regarding project status and any challenges.
- Ensure products are handled with care and returned appropriately.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital photography techniques and equipment.
- Experience with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and color theory.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Possession of professional-grade photography equipment (DSLR/Mirrorless camera, lenses, lighting, tripod).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
Preferred Qualifications
- A compelling online portfolio showcasing previous product photography work.
- Prior experience photographing small, reflective, or intricate items.
