Macy’s in Roseville, CA, is seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals to join our team as a Visual Merchandising Assistant Trainee. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a comprehensive training program to learn all aspects of visual merchandising.
- Assist the Visual Merchandising team with setting up and maintaining in-store displays, windows, and promotional areas.
- Learn to interpret visual guidelines and brand standards to ensure consistent and impactful presentation.
- Help with the placement and styling of merchandise, fixtures, and props.
- Support the team in preparing for seasonal changes, promotions, and special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of visual storage areas and workrooms.
- Provide feedback and contribute fresh ideas to enhance visual presentations.
- Collaborate with sales associates and store management to understand product flow and customer needs.
Required Skills
- No prior experience in visual merchandising or retail required – full training will be provided!
- A strong passion for fashion, design, and retail environments.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry merchandise as needed (up to 25 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some coursework or personal interest in art, design, fashion, or interior decorating.
- Basic understanding of current fashion trends and retail presentation techniques (desirable, but not required).
