Job Description
We are seeking reliable and physically fit Waste Truck Helpers to join our team in Port Hedland for ongoing council contracts. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for individuals who are committed to safety, teamwork, and contributing to essential community services. As a Waste Truck Helper, you will work alongside our experienced drivers, assisting with the collection of waste and recyclables from residential and commercial premises. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role. Key Responsibilities
- Assist waste truck drivers with the safe and efficient collection of general waste, recycling, and green waste.
- Operate compaction equipment and lift bins onto the truck hoists as required.
- Perform manual sorting of waste materials on occasion, ensuring proper disposal procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and traffic regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic operational checks of the truck and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Provide excellent service to the community through diligent work.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or unusual occurrences to the supervisor immediately.
