Job Description
We are seeking highly detail-oriented and articulate individuals to join our team as Work From Home: Admissions Essay Reviewers for our upcoming seasonal peak. This is a crucial role responsible for providing constructive and insightful feedback on college and graduate school admissions essays. You will help aspiring students refine their personal statements and supplemental essays, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and impact. This 100% remote position offers flexible hours within our seasonal demands and an opportunity to make a direct impact on students’ futures. Training on our specific review methodology and platform will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide detailed, constructive feedback on admissions essays (personal statements, supplemental essays, etc.) according to Kaplan's established rubrics and guidelines.
- Ensure essays are clear, grammatically correct, well-structured, and effectively convey the applicant's unique story and qualifications.
- Offer suggestions for improving content, flow, tone, and overall impact.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all applicant information and essay content.
- Meet turnaround time targets for essay reviews, especially during peak season.
- Communicate effectively with the editorial team regarding complex cases or recurrent issues.
- Continuously enhance understanding of current admissions trends and essay expectations across various institutions.
