Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Remote Public Policy Researcher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting in-depth research, analyzing complex data, and developing evidence-based recommendations to inform policy decisions for government clients and public sector organizations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize existing research on various public policy topics.
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including surveys, interviews, and statistical analysis.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to policy challenges.
- Prepare detailed research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other deliverables for clients and stakeholders.
- Formulate clear, concise, and actionable policy recommendations based on research findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy experts, consultants, and data scientists, on projects.
- Stay informed on current events, legislative developments, and emerging issues in relevant policy areas.
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in research methodology, data collection, and analysis.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS) or advanced Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Demonstrated interest in public policy, government affairs, or social impact.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing research projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field.
- Experience with public sector clients or government consulting.
- Familiarity with various policy domains such as healthcare, education, environment, or social welfare.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
