Job Description

The CIUSSS de la Mauricie-et-du-Centre-du-Québec is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Trainee Support Workers. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive paid training to equip you with all the necessary skills. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in various settings, including long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home care environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents/clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
  • Support residents/clients during meal times, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents'/clients' physical, mental, or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or care coordinator.
  • Participate in planned activities and outings, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records as required by care plans and organizational policies.
