Job Description
Fulton Hogan is seeking an enthusiastic and safety-conscious individual to join our Port Lincoln team as an Excavator Spotter. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – full comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with all the necessary skills and knowledge. As an Excavator Spotter, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment around heavy machinery operations, particularly excavators. You will be the eyes and ears for our operators, guiding them safely, and preventing incidents on site. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a visual guide for excavator operators, ensuring safe movement and operation of machinery.
- Maintain constant visual and radio contact with operators to provide clear and concise instructions.
- Identify and communicate potential hazards, obstacles, and personnel within the excavator's swing radius.
- Monitor ground conditions and the stability of excavated areas.
- Assist in traffic management and pedestrian safety around the work zone.
- Participate actively in pre-start safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety procedures and company policies.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to site supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider construction team.

- High level of situational awareness and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and move around a construction site for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) – generally required for site access, but we can guide you on obtaining one if needed.
- Basic First Aid certification.
