Job Description
Grill’d Healthy Burgers is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our kitchen team as a Burger Prep Hand for casual night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in hospitality, as full training will be provided – no prior experience is necessary! You’ll be a vital part of our kitchen operations, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, prepared efficiently, and ready for our busy service periods. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion fresh ingredients daily, including vegetables, meats, and sauces, ensuring high standards of quality.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen workstation at all times, adhering to all hygiene protocols.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, proper storage, and stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Support the cooking team during busy service hours, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Perform end-of-shift cleaning duties to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next service.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organisation.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential, especially for consistent night shifts.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations or a strong desire to learn (full training will be provided).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in a kitchen setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a bonus but not essential.
- Current Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon employment).
- Availability to work consistent night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
