Job Description
Are you seeking an exciting entry-level opportunity with high earning potential right from the start? AC-ET is looking for enthusiastic and physically fit individuals to join our team as a Lighting Technician’s Mate, specializing in climbing and rigging. This is a fantastic chance for someone with no prior experience in lighting or rigging to enter a thrilling industry. We will provide comprehensive training, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively assist our experienced technicians in setting up, maintaining, and dismantling complex lighting and rigging systems at various event sites. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior lighting and rigging technicians with the safe installation and de-rigging of equipment.
- Learn and apply best practices for working at height, including harness use and safety protocols.
- Transport, load, and unload lighting and rigging equipment to and from various event locations.
- Perform general site support tasks as directed by the lead technician.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on-site and in the warehouse.
- Inspect equipment for damage and report any issues to the lead technician.
- Commit to continuous learning and skill development in lighting and rigging techniques.
Required Skills
- No previous professional experience required – full training provided.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UK driving license.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment.
- A genuine interest in the live events or entertainment industry.
- First Aid certification.
