Job Description

Are you a great communicator with a passion for helping people? Do you enjoy the convenience of working from home? Synchrony is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Remote Customer Support Live Chat Agents. No prior experience in customer service is required – we provide comprehensive, paid training to equip you with all the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. In this 100% remote role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing friendly and efficient support through live chat regarding their accounts, products, and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner via live chat.
  • Accurately identify customer needs, clarify information, and provide solutions.
  • Navigate various systems and tools to research answers and assist customers.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and issues, escalating more complex cases to senior agents when necessary.
  • Document all customer interactions and resolutions thoroughly and accurately.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive and helpful communication.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
  • Participate actively in training and coaching sessions to continuously improve performance.

Required Skills

  • Strong written communication skills and excellent grammar.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently (minimum 40 WPM).
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with navigating multiple applications simultaneously.
  • A quiet, dedicated home workspace with reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new information and technologies.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. No prior work experience is required; we will train you!
