Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Event Crew Members for casual summer work to assist with the set-up and pack-down of various festival events in the Mackay region. This is a physically demanding role perfect for individuals looking for flexible, outdoor work during the summer season. No prior experience? No problem! We’ll provide the training you need to become a valuable part of our crew. You’ll be instrumental in transforming empty spaces into vibrant festival grounds, ensuring everything is ready for a spectacular event.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of event equipment, including staging, fencing, barriers, and sound/lighting gear.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as tents, marquees, and signage.
- Lay down flooring, cables, and other site infrastructure.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the set-up and pack-down phases.
- Follow instructions from site managers and team leaders diligently.
- Work effectively and safely as part of a diverse team.
- Perform general labour tasks as required to support event operations.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 20kg).
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in events, labouring, or construction (even casual experience is a bonus).
- Current Australian White Card (General Construction Induction).
- Current Driver's License.
- First Aid Certificate.
