Job Description
Are you passionate about Maths or English and eager to make a positive impact on students’ lives? Cluey Learning is seeking enthusiastic Online Tutors to support students after school hours. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with strong subject knowledge who are looking for flexible, remote work. You will provide engaging, one-on-one or small group online tutoring sessions, helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their learning goals in either Maths or English, depending on your expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective online tutoring sessions in Maths or English.
- Tailor teaching methods and materials to suit individual student needs and learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with students, parents, and Cluey Learning support staff.
- Ensure a positive and supportive learning environment during all sessions.
- Adhere to Cluey Learning's curriculum guidelines and pedagogical approaches.
Required Skills
- Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in either Maths (Years 3-10) or English (Years 3-10).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education and helping students learn.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace conducive to online tutoring.
- Proficiency in using online meeting platforms and basic computer skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or possessing a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Mathematics, English Literature).
- Prior experience working with children or young adults in an educational or mentoring capacity.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
- Familiarity with the Australian curriculum.
