Job Description
Are you seeking an ongoing, full-time role with excellent penalty rates in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Macquarie Glass Solutions is looking for dedicated and reliable Glass Factory Labourers to join our growing team in Port Macquarie. This is a physically demanding yet rewarding position, suitable for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in the role, offering an immediate start for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of glass materials and finished products.
- Operate basic factory machinery and tools under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the factory floor, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform basic quality checks on glass products to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Support production line operations as needed, working collaboratively with the team.
- Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all health and safety guidelines.
- Proven reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic understanding of factory operations or a strong willingness to learn and be trained.
- Must possess valid Australian working rights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory, or general labour setting.
- Current forklift license (LF class) is highly regarded but not essential.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative.
